Keio University, Nakanishi Laboratory "Mechanism of Landscape" Project

Keio University, Nakanishi Laboratory "Mechanism of Landscape" Project
The Keio University Faculty of Environment and Information Studies, led by Professor Yasuto Nakanishi, is researching the design of furniture-type robots equipped with transformation and mobility capabilities. As an output of this research, we produced 360-degree video content to showcase the lab’s findings.
To illustrate how furniture-type robots interact and alter their environments, we used immersive 360-degree video instead of traditional 2D footage, which captures only limited viewpoints. This approach allows viewers to experience the research firsthand, making it easier to grasp the complex intentions behind the study, which might be difficult to convey through conventional media.
Our company was responsible for the exhibition planning and design for DESIGNART TOKYO.

We created an interactive exhibition experience where the 360° video content we produced was projected, allowing viewers to freely change their perspective by operating an iPad screen. In addition to projecting 360° videos, we also designed the entire exhibition space, enabling a cohesive presentation of the research content through both video and spatial design.
